Almost Holloween in Salem

October 2006 in Connecticut!

The weather was horrible and it took us over five hours to get to Salam, MA.

We woke to a wonderful morning right on the bay.

Sara had the Airstream all decorated for our stay.

Airstream Rally in Vermont

A wonderful early morning in the hills of Southern Vermont.

Here are Sara, Donal and Sandi with our entry in the toaster competition. We won best of show with our vintage 1935 Shu-Man Toaster!

And it is now official! Sandi and I will be getting married June 2, 2007 in Wakefield, New Hampshire at an Airstream Rally.

Good morning All-
We arrived home last night at 5:30 PM. We were not able to keep our Blog as well posted as we had wished due to lack of internet connections. Over the next several days we will catch up on the posts.

We made it! Yellowstone National Park!

Here we are crossing the gate into the park.

Oh boy, more construction. Up the moutains on dirt roads without guardrails.

Here is our Airstream all settled in at Yellowstone.

Big Horn National Park

After visiting Devils Tower we stopped for lunch.

Found a really great Food and Gifts spot run by the local Crow Indians.

Then up Big Horn which was one switch-back after another that went on forever. Once we reached the top we were at an elevation of 8,347 feet.

What goes up must come down. The curves and the steep grade were one thing, but having to deal with the local herds didn't help either.

And boy does it go down.

At the bottom we found Shell Creek which was pretty cool.

And we are spending the night at Graybull KOA. Graybull got it's name from an albino buffalo which the Indians kept Sacred.

No matter how hard we looked we found no Aliens!

A really great gift shop open at 7:00 AM with fresh coffee.

We found our way to Deadwood today.

And we will definitely go back to Goldbergs!

Chief Crazy Horse

We were able to collect a chunk of blast rock from the memorial,

for a small fee. Yes we will let anyone see it for $1.00.

They have an incredible laser show at night right on the memorial.


This is the actual scaled working model of what the memorial will

look like when completed.

A wonderful full sized bronze "Fighting Stallions".

And here is the memorial during the day. When completed it will be the largest in the world.
