Grey Fox Saturday Morning

As people start claiming their spots for the weekend the hillside slowly fill with every type of folding chair you coulf think of.

The Main Stage where all the major acts perform in addition to them playing at the Dance Tent, the Masters Tent and a few places in between.

Sue and I had both brought our guitars for the week to play together and met up at some of the offerings the have for aspiring string players. Rich took center stage and learned a few cords.

And then the rains came, and boy did they come.

Rain, rain.

Mud, mud.

Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival

It appears the economy has even struck the youngsters on the Bluegrass circuit. On the first full day we observed a young mandolin player set up on the Mid-way playing for festival food money!

Oour site is all set up with Rich & Sue tucked neatly in. Plenty of room for lounging and cooking and some very serious guitar playing in the evenings.

The view down our 'road' to the dance tent Thursday morning.
What a difference a day makes, same view Thursday morning.

Oak Hill New York

This year we decided to arrive at the Grey Fox Bluegrass on Tuesday evening. This was the first time we had done this and we were surprised to find ourselves smack in the middle of a giant cow field all by ourselfves. I guess you could say we had the pick of any site we wanted.

Home Sweet Home for the next five days. Rich and Sue will be joining us tomorrow along with 4,000 additional campers. All the camping tickets sold out three weeks ago.
We are looking forward to a mix of weather, music everywhere and meeting up with friends and making a few more in the process.
